1. Can anyone help me track down a couple of tiny leaf (is that how you spell it?) springs that fit inside 1970's twin morse controls.
I can't get reverse, which makes getting out of my mooring very interesting!!!!!

2. has anyone upgraded to electronic controls.

3. We think are a bit over proped. What size are your props and what speed do you get. We can only get 10kn, downhill with a following wind!

Please help Smile

You do not say which engine(s) you have and this will affect your choice of propellors.

We have twin AQD32A engines at 106 hp. When the bought the boat she had been fitted with finer pitched propellors that normal at 16x14. I changed them to 16x16 and this improved the top speed from about 13 knots to 16 under normal conditions. However, comparisons can be difficult as the load, its distribution and the sea conditions all have an effect.

Hope this helps,
Dave S.

If you have the specs of your boat, engine hp, gerarbox reduction, current props, weight and length of boat then I know a guy can help.

Andie from BT Marine Propellers in Newton Abbot, Devon, can design a prop suited to your boat to suit your needs.

I can highly recommnend this guy for repairs and designing new props. He has a big selection of off the shelf props and can also custom design props for your boat if you wish.
