I have a 1976 Princess 32 which is permanently moored in France (at Port dÍlon on the Seine).

My steel diesel tank (over 500 litres) is leaking and I have effected a temporary fix with epoxy. But I think I will have to replace it, unless someone can recommend another route.

I am thinking of replacing it with either a steel tank or a plastic one, 3 to 500 litres.

Can anyone recommend a company in France which supplies suitable tanks? Or can anyone recommend a less expensive way to deal with it?

Thanks.

Alan

Epoxy will last if it had a good key to the steel. Otherwise have a look at the Vetus range of plastic tanks. Also check your air intakes - they can allow water in to rust your tank so make sure they are OK. On our P55 we modified the air intakes so that the durad box went up higher and checked for leaks - now all ok.

Sad From experience I think you will have to change the tank , given its age and corrosion , its probably best . Don't know any French manufacturers , you could contact :plastimo.international@plastimo.fr , they are sure to know ALL manufactures of fuel tanks in France , if you talk to the right person. Tel. no. (33) 297 87 36 59 .
Goodluck.
