Tried to upload it to the web - but it wont accept as the video is shot in HD and is 300meg. Too big for the likes of u tube etc. But thanks for the idea anyway.

Thanks for your suggestions - tried them all, downloaded programmes etc to try to do the job -but basically the HD disc won't convert without me paying for a programme - seems pointless for a one off. For some reason moviemaker opens with a error report on this new computer. Can't get it to work!
I'm quite happy to burn a disc and post it to an interested party. At least that way I can gauge that they are genuinely interested and not a time waster. Incidentally the 5 minute video is posted on

but you need to pay £3.50 to download it. Although in it's infancy the site only has about 6 videos on at the moment - but the site owner is aiming for 500 boats eventually - all power. A good way to look at the condition of a boat and that everything works before you set off on your travels to view it. We've all travelled miles to see a boat only to be dissapointed.Probably the future way to advertise/buy your boat.
