Hoping to sell privately, no brokerage, but wondering about the paperwork side , to get things right. Any advice please.

I think the RYA website has advice on selling privately.

You should always check VAT status of boat.
Check for marine mortgages outstanding.
Use a marine surveyor to get a pre-purchase survey.
