Hi all, I have Princess 32 witha singa volvo penta engine which used to be my fathers who saly passed away a couple of years ago and prior to that we used to lock thru at naburn and go to lincoln, newark nottingham etc etc. But now to the point, The other night during a drunken game of cards with some friends we decided in our wisdom to go on a booze cruise out of Hull so what i am asking would this boat be able to do the crossing and if so what advice could you give me and i am open to ALL advice.
Thankyou in anticipation
Mr Q

The boat may be capable in its design, but...

do you have working nav lights?
Calculated fuel usage?
Checked for fuel and water?
Spare fuel filters, oil filters on board?
check the weather forecast?
lifejackets, flares, liferaft?
Navigation instruments all working and you understand how to use them?
GPS or chartplotter available?
VHF working? call the coastguard for a radio check to be sure...
Have you planned a passage? plotted a route on the chart or plotter?
If you are drunk then don't bother - don't drink and drive!!!
Alternatively, go out earlier and anchor somewhere for the night. (Have you got an anchor light? Is you winch/rope/chain/anchor all working ? )

All basic stuff for going to sea, even if it is only a short nip out and in, the best sailors are prepared for the worst.
